There are many reasons why men become buff butlers. That might be true for you too.
Having a good enough reason other than wanting to make money is a good starting point because becoming a good butler in not easy.
For most butlers in the buff, it is more than just money.
Working as a butler in the buff gets easier the more you do it but at the beginning you need to have a strong motivation for wanting to take on butler in the buff jobs.
Be honest with yourself and ask why you really want to do it? What gets you excited about it?
Knowing your motivations will keep you going when you struggle at the start.
Customers of buff butlers hire you to attend their party or event for many different reasons.
Client and customers often say things like “it’s for my…”
When asked why they wanted a buff butler, they will say things like “who doesn’t want one” or “because I wanted to”.
They often don’t know the REAL REASONS why someone would want to hire a buff butler.
As buff butlers we do, but some buff butlers don’t.
Knowing why can help you because you can create a better service for those clients, making them happier.
Happier clients and party guests will spread the word.
Knowing why lets you create the best party butler services and deliver value that keeps you getting hired for other buff butler jobs.
The actual event its self is often irrelevant once you know the subconscious reasons why you were booked this Saturday for a birthday party in someone’s back garden.
You are booked for any of the following subconscious reasons:
• Competition – they want to be better than their friends / neighbours.
• Escapism – something novel as a distraction from their daily lives.
• Loneliness / want to belong – this brings them closer with their friends and guests.
• Display wealth – buff butlers are expensive (even for just an hour) so having you turn up on their doorstep signals their wealth to friends, family and those across the street.
And the reasons you get hired will be in one of the above.
The reasons why someone hires you for a hen party and another customer hires you for their business launch event can be for the same unconscious reason.
Clients don’t really know why they want you or any other buff butler – because its subconscious and as a buff butler it’s your job to play to those.
Some generic ways that you can deliver their hidden wishes are:
• Turn up on the door step in your buff butler uniform - their neighbours will be jealous.
• Put how much you cost on a business card and hand them out – that will their guests that they can afford it. But don’t hand too many out only a few. Handing lots out looks desperate so give them to one person in a group to stoke the interest of others around.
• The first and last photo should be with your client (or who ever the party is for)
• Let them decide the uniform that you will wear – this gives them the feeling of control.
• Post their photo with you on your socials and adverts – shows that you have clients and makes them feel important.
• The client should get the most attention – this way other guests will want the same and hire you (Afterall, we always want what we can’t have)
• Give them something on arrival – this helps make an entrance. Giving something like flowers can have an impact (if it’s a woman) make sure to work the price of the flowers into your fees.
• Give them something as a keepsake – successful buff butlers often give their clients a keepsake before leaving, like their bowtie. Just make sure you do this while others are watching. Some butlers give their clients a signed apron with their name on.
You will find what works and what doesn’t but the tactic above were what we, as experienced buff butlers, have regular applied to our jobs.

Are you a new buff butler?
Then you will struggle to get a buff butler gig – no matter how big your muscles are.
There are few reasons:
1. You have no contacts – many buff butlers get repeat customers, and also know other buff butlers who refer people to them (and vice versa)
2. No referrals – many butlers get work from customers who saw them at a party.
3. No Plan - You don’t know what you are REALLY DOING.
Some new buff butlers don’t hit dry path when starting out because they take advice from experienced butlers – by people who know what they are doing.
Until you have a PLAN so you know what you are doing, you will find it hard to make contacts
Even if you have mates at the gym telling you things – it won’t work for you because they’re bull shitting and leave out important details.
Why would they do that?
Because they don’t want the competition, they want you to be impressed by the money they make or the girls they meet.
They leave out the planning and tactics they use to get work.
To get you plan together you just need to know a few things and work out a simple but effective strategy form this.
It’s a simple business plan that will put you ahead of other new buff butlers and even experienced ones.
An Instagram account showing you body is good – but not good enough.
You need an all-in-one place, to promote, manage and connect with your clients.
They know what they want and are ready to make a decision.
These things will put you ahead of the competition.
• Offer services to both men as well as women
This will open up a whole new market for you such as gay parties, gay stag parties etc. many straight buff butlers offer their service to men.
• Do a charity gig
Offer you butler services, free of charge, for a charity event.
Not only will this make you look like an outstanding human but it will expose you to people who may want to book you in the future. There will be so many potential clients at these events. The events will be posted online giving your even more exposure. Who wouldn’t want their photo taken with a buff butler?
• Get to know other buff butlers
Getting to know other buff butlers is crucial. You should build a network or even a team.
The benefit of this: you get to learn new skills, work together if a client wants multiple butlers at their party.
But the best thing?
The best thing about getting to know other buff butlers is that if you can’t do a gig, you can pass a client onto one of your butler “colleagues”. And they can do the same.
Get to know other buff butlers and not just the ones in your town or gym, get to know them from across the UK. Connect with them.
• Handout business cards after your event / party
Handing out business cards or flyers works. Remember to give yours a personal touch by hand writing on them – the guest will be made to feel special, like you connected with them.
When you finished your buff butler job leave it a few days until you contact your client.
This is most important after your very first eve buff butler gig, yet you should do it regardless of how long you have been doing it.
Making contact post-party give a professional look to your service. Its also good for getting feedback.
Positive or negative feedback is important as it lets you improve your service either way.
You will know what’s working, or not, for different types of clients and this will let you plan the next time when you have similar types of clients and/or parties.
The most important outcome of making contact after the party is that your are brought back to the for front of their mind and so have positive opinion of you. They are more likely to refer you to other who are planning the next party of event.
There are many types of buff butler gigs, jobs or parties. What you will do will depend on you.
There some buff butlers who love serving at hen parties, making cocktails and getting their photos taken with all the women there.
There are some butlers in the buff who would refuse jobs at a hen party and prefer a birthday party. A birthday party can have a theme and are often more laid back than a hen party.
Then there’s buff butlers who will do anything from just serving and interacting to playing games, doing magic tricks, cooking and even cleaning for private clients.
Some private events require buff butlers to look “classier” than a hen party butler but still show some flesh.
Not quite naked cleaning but very similar- buff butler cleaning blend the appreciation of the human body, skin exposure and cleaning for clients in their own homes.
Buff butler cleaning, like naked cleaning, is in hight demand across the UK and continues to grow.

Making sure that you are available for cleaning by being honest when you communicate with potential clients – many cleaning buff butlers don’t. They fail to write it in their ads and on their account profiles.
There a dark side to most things in life and being a buff butler does have its downsides.
If you are strong willed then the downsides won’t bother you and you are able to focus on the good things about butler in the buff work.
That’s why it important to have a good understanding of what you doing it for in the first place – this will keep you going when or if bad things happen.
Woking as a butler in the buff has down sides like: jealous boyfriends, unhappy clients, unexciting parties, bad party guests, dealing with requests, many messages from time wasters, women / men wanting to date you.
For some butlers they struggle to handle all eyes on them and the attention to their looks become too much. Just because a man is attractive and has big muscle does not mean he doesn’t have insecurities.
Each party you do will be different – its like no other job, especially if you are a buff butler who offers a range of services.
As a buff butler myself the variety of jobs that came my way made being one worth it. I even had to decline.
Not every butler in the buff jobs is equal – I don’t just mean the pay and hours; I mean the psychology of the way they operate.
What’s psychology got to do with this?
A lot. Because if you know how the work then you know more about where to look for them and get hired.
A hen party is different from a birthday party which is different from a launch party.
And then there’s is buff butler cleaning – which isn’t about a party and more about connection and comfortable than showing off your sexy butler to the guests.

The truth is that there are no one best place to find a buff butler job.
Wherever you target clients are (online or offline) is where there is potential to get hired for a party.
In most cases its rather the job will find you – so you have to be ready. Because clients want to make a decision there and then if they want to hired you.
Message boards, chat forums and of course social media are the best places online.
Also, buff butler companies are good way to find work online and when you register, they can direct you to those who are looking to book one.
Again, this type of work means that you have to be ready for people when they are looking rather than going out and actively finding them.
As long as you have an online presence then you can be ready when people need to find a butler in the buff.
Finding jobs as a butler in the buff is different when its locally because you can go out to places where you know potential customers are and connect with them – such as posters, flyers and business cards.
Strategically placing your promotion in area where you know where they will be is a good way to get known.
Wedding venue, bars, nightclubs and high-end hotel are great places to promote.
Yes – business cards and posters still work, now more than ever.
As with any job, the time of the year is one crucial factor. Spring and summer time are the best times if the year because more people have parties at this time.
With some buff butler work Christmas time can be a good.
But butlers in the buff become more popular they can be hired anytime of the year.

• Be knowledgeable – a good knowledge of drinks, wines and anything to do with entertaining and hospitality is a bonus.
• Be flexible – top notch, high paying clients
